Hope

Sometimes the most effective approach to feel the hope is to set a small goal that seems achievable. Accomplishing that goal however small takes effort. Especially, when the rest of the world seems dark and heavy. Taking small measurable steps toward a larger goal. This is what helps set the path to making big tasks chunked up into manageable goals to achieve. This granularity helps contain the stress and overwhelm.
The myriad ways in which I feel the sense of accomplishment from these small steps help me accumulate the positives throughout the day, then the week and so on! Taking stock of this process helps me feel more comfortable with myself. Gives me a sense of purpose and helps acknowledge the importance of putting in the effort to just showing up. Some days it’s just that which matters. Pulling myself out of that darkness enables me to see the light and eventually the hope in the moment. Here’s to building little blocks of hope…

Small steps like this make great things happen. Psalm 62:5, which says, “My soul waits for God alone, for my hope is from him”; Romans 15:4, which states, “For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope”; and 1 John 3:3, which states that “everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.”
