Moving the body

Mobilizing the body as we process through the traumatic memory by attempting to complete the action tendencies during the traumatic event, in a therapeutic environment. This is what I understand is the crux of sensorimotor therapy phase 2 of treatment.

The stabilization in phase 1 of sensorimotor treatment throughout the phase 2 mobilization of the body helps resource the processing of the trauma in the body, according to Pat Ogden.

Finally increasing the integrative capacity though realization of the trauma to engage with life after the trauma is how we move through phase 3 of sensorimotor treatment as I understand from the book, “Trauma and the Body” by Pat Ogden, Kekuni Minton & Clare Pain.
